Recoil products from Alcoa Fastening Systems (AFS) are used to repair damaged or create strong new screw threads and accommodate a variety of applications in the electronics, power generation, transportation industries and the automotive aftermarket.

Containing two of the most popular Recoil maintenance repair products the Combi Kit is designed for the European market. ReTHRED 21 and 22 are tap applications used, for example, to restore a nut’s thread.

Studsaver, guided by existing thread, is used to re groove the damaged section of a bolt. Both contain floating steel blades that adjust to varying sizes of application, thus avoiding time consuming thread measurement.

These versatile tools can be used for a number of internal and external thread repair applications in an industrial as well as a domestic capacity. The high quality steel also allows for a long service life and due to the adjustable floating blades, no thread measurement is necessary which also saves time.”
