Elesa is launching the GN822 series of low-cost, space-saving indexing plungers with lengths as short as 26.5mm
Indexing plungers are often expensive for what they are and take up more space than designers would like.
However, Elesa’s new GN822 saves space and cost – it is described as a true mini indexing plunger at only 26.5mm long by 21mm diameter for the knob. If required, slightly larger versions are available up to 34mm long by 25mm diameter.
Installation is said to be simple: pull back the plunger knob to reveal a hex head and M8 or M10 thread suitable for mounting even in thin sheet metal of 3.5mm or 4mm gauge.
An AISI 303 stainless plunger provides accurate positioning while the polymer knurled knob offers a safe and solid grip during operation. The GN822 is available in two formats: without rest position and with rest position, which is achieved by pulling and twisting the knob 30 degrees. Black oxide steel bushings are also available to space the indexing plunger when it is installed on thin sheet.
