Significant reductions will help companies lower costs and meet sustainability goals
A study has shown that greentech company SulNOx users could reduce emissions and fuel consumption by 14.5%.
“This study demonstrates the versatility of the SulNOxEco product in industrial use cases across different forms of engines, but also opens up the huge revenue potential in mining, construction and power generation globally,” said SulNOx CEO Ben Richardson
SulNOx partnered with heavy equipment rental provider Templant Group for the generator-based study, with independent testing specialist Socotec comparing a 100kVA Templant generator’s emissions while running constantly at 80% load capacity.
Alongside fuel consumption, various greenhouse gases and particulate matter were tested since they also contribute to global warming and air quality problems. These included:
- Black Smoke / Particulate Matter (PM10 and PM2.5) Reduced by more than 96%
- Sulphur Oxide Emissions (SOx) Reduced by 63%
- Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Reduced by 26.7%
- Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) Reduced by 14%
- Carbon Monoxide (CO) Reduced by 7%
“These are among SulNOx’s most meaningful results to date and a reaffirmation of testimonials reported by clients globally,” said Richardson. “A generator, unlike a ship or truck has no external influences (e.g. tide, fuel types or even driving style), therefore we are demonstrating the true effectiveness of SulNOxEco as an instant and meaningful solution to the climate crisis.”
Following the results of this study, SulNOx and Templant have partnered together and signed a distribution agreement for Templant to roll out the SulNOxEco conditioner, a petrol conditioner made with natural ingredients. The goal of this partnership is to reduce fuel consumption and emissions, which results in lower fuel costs and more success meeting sustainability targets.

This partnership comes at a time when the UK power rental market is expanding, expected to grow to £325m by 2029.
