North Composites Engineering (NCE) is a highly professional company who over the last 14 years have trained and actively empowered the composite sector. Acknowledged experts in composite services, we provide world class training, consultancy and equipment to the Aerospace, Marine, Wind Turbine and Automotive sectors.

After many years of accredited training programmes, we have recently returned from delivering a successful and scene setting training program at Short Brother, a Boeing Company in Belfast, where we are looking forward to continuing and developing the relationship by enhancing and integrating our services into their quality processes. As part of this relationship, we are about to deliver critical manufacturing equipment to Spirit AeroSystems Aerospace Innovation Centre in Scotland. A service we have provided for many companies, most recently setting up a composite repair centres for Babcock International in support of their work with the RAF.

This has driven one of the key activities in our growth, along with our ability to respond to customer needs which has seen the recent development of in-house electronic control systems for the composite sector.

Our primary aim is to promote and encourage best practice, knowledge transfer and development in advanced materials and technologies through the provision of the highest standards of training, consultancy and products to improve our customer’s competitive edge. This is demonstrated and proven effective by the number of customers who have aligned and changed their practices in composite manufacturing and repair methods as an output from our training stating “NCE is making a difference in the sector” Spirit AeroSystems.

Our services have gained the respected position of being recognised by our customers for delivering an outstanding service of excellence that exceeds their expectations, a comment which appears regularly in customer feedback. Having the prestigious position of being the only composite trainer approved by the Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register (JOSCAR) requiring external verification of their course and staff and quality processes, also highlights their prestigious position within the industry.

Our specialist aircraft composite repair courses, approved by organisations such as BAE Systems, provide industry trusted essential aircraft structural repair training for repairers, inspectors, approvers and design authority personnel. Industry good practice is fostered from novice to experienced practitioners to maximise compliance with aircraft SRM requirements.

Our globally positioned customer base include, in the aircraft sector alone, Tier 1 and aircraft maintenance companies with Short Brothers a Boeing Company, BAE, Solvay, GKN, Bombardier, KLM and British Airways being just a few.

All our aircraft courses comply with AT 104 class IV specification, with both our courses and trainers meeting EASA, CAA, FAA and Tier 1 aircraft manufacture training recommendations and comply with J.A.R. Part147 approved maintenance training. Our instructors are professionally qualified engineers with extensive experience in design, manufacture and repair of composite parts and are compliant at the highest grade of the Boeing FAA AC65-33.

Our scheduled courses are offered throughout the year, with bespoke courses to customers' specifications added to suit customer needs, incorporating in specific tasks to provide added value.
