The new and exciting features to be featured at this years show
Advanced Engineering, the UK's annual gathering for the engineering and manufacturing sectors, is taking place this week, and this year's show is set to be a showcase of cutting-edge design and manufacturing capabilities
Held at the NEC in Birmingham on October 29 and 30, 2025, the event is set to feature hypercars and hydrogen-powered vehicles, as well as advancements in aerospace and next-generation additive manufacturing systems.
Visitors can expect to see some of the most advanced engineering projects up close, including Jota's Hypercar. Competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship's Hypercar class, Jota's contender is among the elite machines designed to the Le Mans Hypercar LMH and Le Mans Daytona h LMDh specifications.
Also at the show is the NIO EP9, created to be the world's fastest EV. In 14 months, NIO delivered an EP9 capable of exceeding 310km/h, accelerating from 0-100km/h in 2.7s and generating 3G of lateral force in 100mph corners. At 300km/h, it produces three tonnes of downforce, more than a Formula 1 car.
Another innovation taking centre stage is the Press-Moulded MV Agusta F3 RR single-piece body part, an example of sustainable composite manufacturing. Produced in a single-stage process using recycled carbon fibre, this fixture showcases technical efficiency and high-volume potential, achieving 40 units per day, per mould.
Construct3d will debut its Construct 2 industrial 3D printer on October 29 at 10 am, live from the AM Futures stand (N134). Designed for 24/7 operation, the Construct 2 provides throughput of up to 8kg per day while maintaining precision, process control, and material consistency, a step change for industrial-scale AM.
For visitors from the aerospace sector, the FWD Gen 2 Propeller Blade array for Vertical Aerospace's CX4 Prototype Aircraft and a full-scale composite vertical stabiliser from Munro Technology will be exhibited. Additionally, a solar-powered high-altitude platform (HAPS) wing will be on display, integrating ten high-performance Maxeon Gen7 solar cells within a composite skin made from novel Tenron fibres.
The theme of sustainable innovation continues with the display of Toyota's Hilux prototype hydrogen-fuel-cell rolling chassis. Acknowledging hydrogen's role in future clean energy systems, Toyota is developing fuel cell and combustion hydrogen solutions. The Toyota Hilux hydrogen-fuel-cell prototype, built at Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK, showcases the potential of hydrogen technology for practical applications.

Alan Harper Composites will be demonstrating its closed-moulding technique in a live demo, showing how vacuum membranes simplify production, reduce waste, and support small-scale and advanced aerospace applications. The company will also exhibit large-scale printed moulds that showcase the technology's speed and reliability.
Supreme Coatings will be unveiling the UK's first Cerakkote robotic spraying system, introducing a step forward in surface finishing, utilising advanced robotics to ensure consistent, high-quality coatings that enhance durability, efficiency and performance across industries such as automotive and defence.
Rounding off the line-up, FlyingBasket and SkyLift will demonstrate their aerial transport and lifting technologies, already proven in sectors such as telecoms, energy, logistics and both onshore and offshore construction. The TWR Supercat will also be exhibited, purpose-built for the road and the track.
