This modular solution utilises the power of the MetraScan 3D-R scanner in an automated 3D measurement cell and has three standard configurations to adapt to different part sizes. A range of options allows easy integration into any production environment, enabling more inspections with fewer resources and lower costs.
This turnkey high-productivity industrial measuring cell has been designed to adapt to any shop floor and any requirement. The M2 inspects parts up to 2m in length, the M3 up to 3m, and the M4 up to 4m.
Developed to be modular, these solutions offer numerous configurations and options, and Creaform's ongoing innovation ensures factories can remain agile and ready to evolve. The Cube-R provides continuous measurements and uncompromising precision, even in vibrating environments and on challenging surfaces, by utilising a combination of hardware and software for intelligent offline programming, high-frame-rate full-field 3D data, and rapid cycle times through parallel processing.
Configurable options within the M Series include:
- Metrology-grade 3D scanning capability: The MetraScan-R Black+ Elite HD uses 69 blue laser lines to provide an accuracy of 0.025mm, 3,000,000 measurements/s and a measurement resolution of 0.015mm. The measurements are validated through acceptance tests compliant with VDI/VDE 2634 Part 3 and ISO 10360, and are conducted in ISO/IEC 17025:2017-accredited laboratories.
- Productivity Kit: The kit enables uninterrupted scanning workflows by parallelising inspection and processing activities.
- Removable mounting plates: This forklift-compatible kit offers optional pallets so parts and jigs can be preloaded outside the measuring cell.
- Virtek Iris 3D positioning system: This kit utilises projected laser-guided patterns for precise alignment and accurate positioning of parts and jigs.
- Secure remote access kit: This kit contains connectivity tools to enable Creaform's technical support team to troubleshoot the Cube-R remotely.
- Dedicated sheet metal solution: This kit provides accurate, repeatable 3D sheet metal measurements by combining the specialised sheet metal add-on in the inspection module with the MetraScan 3D R HD.
- Automation module: The digital twin environment module of Creaform Metrology Suite prioritises ease of use and performance, enabling operators to program and operate robotic systems with confidence.
