Danfoss has opened a new 22,500 m² production facility in Tuchom, near Gdansk, Poland, strengthening its manufacturing footprint in the country
Operated by HydronicS, a division of Danfoss Climate Solutions, the plant expands production capacity and operational flexibility to meet demands for energy-efficient heating and cooling solutions, particularly in the data centre and district energy markets.
The new facility was inaugurated on October 8, 2026, in the presence of local authorities, customers, and business partners, marking a significant milestone in Danfoss’ investment in Poland and coinciding with the company’s 35th anniversary in the country.
The 22,500 m² plant houses advanced metal processing, assembly, and testing capabilities under one roof, with an annual production capacity of 8,000 heavy-duty stations- prebuilt interface units that control, measure, and transfer thermal energy for heating and cooling in buildings.
Currently employing 250 people, the Tuchom facility has capacity for up to 500 and will support growing markets such as district energy and data centres, while also serving as a Centre of Excellence for data centre solutions and a showroom for OEM customers.
Expanding growth
This investment responds to growing demand driven by the green transition, improving efficiency, reducing lead times, and expanding customised production capabilities.
Adam Jędrzejczak, divisional president, Danfoss HydronicS, said, “Our new factory in Tuchom is an important step in executing our LEAP 2030 strategy and strengthening how we support customers in fast-growing markets. By increasing capacity and flexibility, while developing high-growth areas such as data centres and decarbonization solutions.”
An energy-efficient and electrified facility
The new facility incorporates energy efficiency and electrification into its design and technical infrastructure, offering a practical example of how heating and cooling technologies can benefit industrial operations.
A cascade of heat pumps with Danfoss inverter-driven compressors provides heating and cooling. The facility also uses heat exchangers, balancing valves, frequency converters, thermostats, and other Danfoss technologies in its heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
The Tuchom plant forms part of Danfoss’ broader approach to industrial decarbonisation, with the company’s Decarbonisation Path focusing on energy efficiency, the utilisation of excess heat, and renewable energy solutions.
The Decarbonisation Path is an interactive tour demonstrating how Danfoss technologies support industrial decarbonisation in practice. Enhanced with multimedia, infographics, and presentations, the tour showcases real-life solutions implemented in the factory and explains Danfoss’ three steps to decarbonisation: reduce, reuse, and re-source.
Decarbonisation
For Danfoss, enhancing energy efficiency and increasing electrification are essential to transitioning away from fossil energy in industrial operations.
The approach is also reflected at the company’s Grodzisk Campus in Poland, where Danfoss has demonstrated electrification, energy efficiency, and excess-heat recovery in its own manufacturing operations.
Danfoss in Poland
The new facility builds on 15 years of Danfoss operations in Tuchom, strengthening the company’s manufacturing presence in Poland.
By expanding production capacity in the region, Danfoss is developing a platform for continued innovation, operational flexibility, and the creation of energy-efficient solutions.
Edyta Szauła, director, Supply Chain, Tuchom, said, “The new factory in Tuchom strengthens our ability to support customers, capitalise on growth opportunities, and drive innovation in key strategic markets. It is an important milestone for our business, our people and our continued growth in Poland.”
