e-con Systems expanded camera support for Renesas’ new RZ/G3E enables reliable edge AI vision solution
e-con Systems, an embedded vision solutions provider, announced camera support for Renesas' latest RZ/G3E microprocessor. The two companies already have an established partnership in powering next-generation embedded vision applications such as industrial automation, smart city, automotive, and more.
Following the integration with Renesas' RZ/V2N and RZ/V2H processors, e-con Systems now brings its camera modules to the latest RZ/G3E microprocessor.
The RZ/G3E microprocessor, part of Renesas' scalable MPU portfolio, is designed for low-power edge computing, advanced graphics-rich and vision-based applications, providing dual-display support, secure connectivity, and a high-performance Arm Cortex-A55 processor.
Included in its RZ/G3E-compatible offerings, e-con Systems is providing:
- e-CAM22_CURZH: a full HD ultra-low light colour camera with Sony STARVIS IMX462 sensor, ideal for capturing images in difficult lighting.
- e-CAM25_CURZH: a full HD Global Shutter camera with onsemi AR0234 sensor, suited for capturing images of fast-moving objects.
Both cameras come equipped with a built-in Image Signal Processor (ISP), which aligns with Renesas' integration requirements for the RZ/3GE.
