Emerson enhances its ASCO Series 327C solenoid valve for improved efficiency

Emerson is improving the ASCO Series 327C solenoid valve with new Intrinsically Safe and Manual Reset construction versions. The valve features direct-acting, high-flow technology that delivers enhanced flow-to-power ratios, making it suitable for high-demand industries such as chemical processing facilities, power plants, and refineries

The ASCO Series 327C features a balanced poppet design for high-flow efficiency and can operate in harsh environments over a temperature range of -60 to 90°C. The valve's two-layer dynamic seal technology reduces friction and provides stiction resistance, enabling consistent, reliable performance throughout its life cycle.

Series 327C has added Intrinsically Safe and Manual Reset versions, which can provide faster response times and improved reliability. The Intrinsically Safe model removes the need for an electronic booster, allowing more consistent partial stroke testing and quicker response times.

Anne Sophie Kedad, director of marketing process and sustainability, Emerson, said, “Facilities in demanding industries like power and chemical processing need valves that offer long-term performance with minimal maintenance. With the Series 327C, we are not only providing superior valve performance but also meeting the industry’s growing need for intrinsically safe solutions capable of performing critical operations with minimal downtime and lower maintenance costs. This new IS construction enables our customers to access a much more simple design as there is no electronic booster to operate the solenoid valve.”

The ASCO Series 327C solenoid valve is a solution that helps reduce supply chain complexity for industrial users and streamline valve specifications. It features a unique electrical test connection and can help simplify field commissioning and prevent moisture ingress during storage.
