LPW Technology are hosting a 2 day short course on Powder Handling and Flow for Additive Manufacturing at their premises in Cheshire in July. Presentations from Fraunhofer IFAM, Bremen, Germany, LPW Technology and The Wolfson Centre for Bulk Solids Handling Technology in the UK will guide delegates through the critical aspects of powder handling and management for powder-based AM processing of materials such as metals, plastics etc.
The course is designed for those working in powder-based Additive Manufacturing processing, particularly with metal or plastics. The aim is to help delegates understand why problems may occur in the handling processes and how to avoid or overcome them.
The course has been arranged so that it can be attended on the first day only for those looking for a basic introduction or as a two day course where quality considerations will be looked at in depth. Presentations and demonstrations (where appropriate) will be used to illustrate key points.
An informal networking evening has been arranged for the night before the course to allow delegates to get to meet each other and the team of presenters, and to have a look around the facilities at LPW Technology. A finger buffet will also be provided at no extra cost.
