Created for test and measurement, Fairview Microwave releases its new low-frequency waveguides

Fairview Microwave has announced its new standard gain horns, with frequencies as low as 320MHz being supported by the new line. These new low-frequency waveguide standard gain horns are specifically designed for test and measurement applications.

Designed for antennas and wireless systems, models come in a range of sizes, including WR-510, WR-650 and WR-770. The gain horns have type-N female connectors along with both 10dBi and 15dBi gain options.

Kevin Hietpas, senior product line manager, said: “Our new waveguide standard gain horns deliver exceptional low-frequency performance and consistent gain, giving engineers the precision and reliability they need for accurate test and measurement applications.”

Aiming to address a gap in the market for low-frequency testing solutions, the gain horns down to 320MHz, ranging up to 2.20GHz. This allows users to select and configure the device for the specific requirements of testing and measurements.

Even in challenging environments, the horns offer durability and long-lasting performance as they are constructed from high-grade aluminium finished with a corrosion-resistant powder coating.

This solution is cost-effective to use, as it does not require TAA/US-made products to operate and does not affect the quality of output.

Engineers and technicians can rely on these tools for consistent gain versus frequency, repeatable measurements and accuracy.

With direct mounting capability, it can easily integrate into an existing setup. This provides instant and direct mount to other waveguide systems.
