Global Heat Transfer launches high flash point cleaning fluid

The high flash point allows for consistency and safety in the heat transfer system environment

Thermal fluid supplier Global Heat Transfer has launched a new cleaning and flushing fluid, Globaltherm C1 HF.

The Globaltherm C1 HF, which follows the original C1 fluid, cleanses heat transfer systems of harmful contaminants that build up inside, such as carbon deposits, loose debris, water, oxidised residual fluids and volatile light ends.

Leaving contaminants inside after draining can erode the system’s pipework, lowering the lifespan and overall safety of the heat transfer system. Similarly, the thermal fluid storing process is also delicate and more likely to be successful if the system was properly cleaned at the beginning.

“Starting with a clean system means a safer system environment, maximum service life from the new fluid and lower maintenance costs,” explained Dave Dyer, a technical sales engineer at Global Heat Transfer.

The cleaning fluid has one of the highest flash points in the industry. This helps heat transfer systems retain their flash points, despite the inevitable traces of cleaning fluid left behind that usually lower their flash points instantly.

“Our new cleaning and flushing fluid, which has all of the benefits of the original Globaltherm C1, but with a higher flash point, means that manufacturers can be confident that their system is ready for new fluid without affecting the flash point of the newly filled system,” Dyer added.
