For glass mix/cullet, sand, ceramics, refractories, aggregates, and other dry bulk abrasive materials
A new GB-35-ARL Rotary Batch Mixer from Munson Machinery for glass mix/cullet, sand, ceramics, refractories, aggregates, and other dry bulk abrasive materials has achieved total uniformity in 1 to 3 minutes in batches ranging from 140kg to 1m3, regardless of particle size, shape, bulk density, or ingredient ratios
Trunnion rings support the mixer’s drum on each end, eliminating the need for internal shafts, bearings, seals, and related maintenance. As it rotates, proprietary mixing flights tumble, fold, cut, and turn the material while elevating the batch toward a stationary plug gate valve for discharge with no segregation or residual material in the vessel.
All internal wear surfaces, including lifters, baffles, and inlet/outlet chutes, are fabricated using hardened steel and secured with bolts for rapid replacement.
The unit’s stationary inlet and outlet enable inline operation and continuous rotation during loading and unloading, reducing cycle times.
The mixer’s side door provides access to all material-contact surfaces, which, together with the absence of residual material, facilitates quicker cleaning.
Other Munson mixing/blending equipment includes Rotary Batch Mixers for non-abrasive applications, Ribbon/Paddle/Plow Blenders, Fluidised Bed Mixers, Rotary Continuous Mixers, and Variable Intensity Blenders. Size-reduction machinery encompasses Pin Mills, Screen Classifying Cutters, Attrition Mills, Lump Breakers, Rotary Knife Cutters, Hammer Mills and Shredders.
