At SPS 2026, held November 24 to 26, Nord Drivesystems will present its current portfolio, focusing on drive systems and digital services that enable users to benefit from a connected system architecture

This will include demonstrating a practical model dedicated to digital twins, illustrating the connection between virtual commissioning and real-life drive optimisations. Offers such as the IIoT solution Nord Drive Monitor and the Nord Eco service will also complement the system provider’s trade fair presentation.

At the international trade fair for industrial automation, Nord’s stand (Hall 3A, 431) will provide an overview of the various options the company offers as a system provider: tailor-made, high-efficiency drive systems matched to the respective application and focused on long service life and reliable operation.

NORD DRIVE MONITOR

Visitors can see the Nord Drive Monitor in action as a predictive maintenance tool. The IIoT solution provides dynamically calculated and sensor-captured operating values from electronic drive systems for further processing in condition monitoring (CM), enabling predictive maintenance. Nord Drive Monitor users can identify anomalies and wear at earlier stages and plan maintenance activities before damage occurs or the system comes to a standstill.

NORDAC ON

There are also new developments in functional safety, such as the safety upgrade of the product family of decentralised Nordac On frequency inverters. These new functions are useful in automation environments. In addition to STO and SS1, the safe motion functions SLS, SMS, or SSM are integrated for fail-safe control of rotary movement.

Nordac On features safe standstill functions, such as Safe Torque Off and Safe Stop 1, and enables safe control of a drive system’s speeds with Safety Limited Speed, Safe Maximum Speed and Safe Speed Monitor. Safe digital components and outputs enable direct connection of fail-safe peripheral components and features, such as emergency stop buttons, safety door switches, and photoelectric sensors.

NORD ECO

At SPS, Nord will provide information on the Nord Eco service, revealing the energy used and the energy not used by a drive system, enabling determination of the configuration with the lowest energy consumption. Based on the analysis data, Nord prepares a design proposal to enhance the drive systems’ dimensioning and therefore the performance and efficiency of the system,

Virtual commissioning and digital twin

For selected products, Nord provides the option to request a model file as a digital twin, which can be used to test a component or an entire system in a virtual environment. Virtual commissioning can quickly identify potential errors or further optimisation needs before bringing the selected configuration to life. Visitors will have the opportunity to see this in practice at the trade fair stand.

Other digital services that Nord’s team of experts will present at SPS 2026 include the myNord customer portal, which enables registered users to discover Nord’s portfolio and find the right components and drive systems.
