Schaltbau has launched its Eddicy R300 high-voltage relay, a solution designed for applications where performance, safety, and compliance are crucial. Based on the company's R400 relays in the railway sector, the Eddicy R300 brings proven reliability to new industrial use cases, providing confidence wherever high-voltage DC testing and insulation with non-active component isolation is needed
Developed to withstand voltages up to 10,000V, the R300 can be integrated into various test environments. The device can safely switch currents up to 25A, and is available in single- and double-pole configurations. Its large contact pills ensure low contact resistance, decreasing heat generation and lowering the risk of contact welding.
The double-contact bridge design provides arc-extinguishing performance. With a making capacity of up to 200A, the relay is designed for long-term durability even under demanding operating conditions.
An integrated economiser circuit keeps pull-in power consumption under 12W, allowing direct control via a programmable logic controller (PLC), reducing operating costs and thermal stress while extending service life.

The R300 is designed for a wide range of high-voltage and safety-critical applications. In testing environments, it supports HiPot, insulation, PE-conductor, and leakage-current testing, ensuring reliable, repeatable results. In power electronics, it acts as a pre-charge relay in converter systems and as a relay for switching measuring points.
