Trinasolar, a global provider of Smart Solar solutions, has begun construction of a 21MW solar project in northern Spain in collaboration with Norsol
Norsol is a Spanish company with experience managing photovoltaic projects from design and construction to maintenance. Specifically, in conjunction with this project, there are 11 self-consumption installations with batteries that also facilitate shared energy, aiming to extend solar access to municipal buildings throughout León.
Located 800m above sea level, the site faces demanding weather conditions, including heavy snowfall with projected loads of 1210Pa. In order to ensure reliable performance, the plant will be integrating 495 Vanguard 1P solar trackers and 29,172 Vertex NEG21 modules. Three tracker configurations, chosen to match the terrain and support optimal energy generation, are included in the design.
Trinasolar will also provide on-site installation services for its modules and tracking systems, covering design and engineering to construction and commissioning. Delivering modules, trackers, and the installation of both key components as a single package decreases the project's complexity, reduces EPC interface risks, and enhances efficiency, while maintaining consistent quality throughout the execution.
