Baldor’s new IEC-frame ac motors emphasise extreme operating efficiency of up to 96.3percentto reduce operating overheads.
The range includes EFF1 choices – in line with Europe’s existing high efficiency standard – plus a further choice of premium efficient motors dubbed EFF1+ that are up to two percentage points more efficient. There are 17 ratings from 4 to 200kW (metric frames from D112M to D315M)with a choice of three speed options at each rating: 9501450 and 2850RPM. Larger motors (to 1250HP) are available as custom designs or in NEMA versions.
In addition to meeting and exceeding EFF1the motors comply with Australia’s MEPS minimum efficiency performance standards: AS/NZS1359.5-2005/2006.
Baldor achieves higher efficiency by adding more copper to the windingsupgrading the laminations to premium-grade low-loss steelenhanced lamination designsprecision air gaps between rotor and statorand reducing fan and other losses.
The range features cast iron frames for durabilityand run from 50Hz380-420V three-phase supplies. Motors are additionally rated for 60Hz/460V and comply with EPAct efficiency levels – making them suitable for use in the US.
