AQO, a new subsea equipment provider, officially launched to market yesterday at Submarine Networks World in Singapore.
Powered by autonomous underwater technology company SMD, AQO aims to serve a broader range of operators by introducing a “distinct proposition” for customers seeking reliable technology, streamlined mobilisation and greater commercial flexibility.
AQO brings together SMD’s expertise with China’s supply chain and manufacturing efficiencies. The company intends to reduce complexity, shorten lead times and ensure predictable performance while maintaining the quality and reliability required in demanding subsea environments.
“AQO has been developed around a very clear understanding of what many subsea operators need from their equipment, which is proven performance, straightforward deployment and reliable systems,” said Tony Tian, AQO sales and business development manager, and deputy CEO of SMD China.
“By drawing on SMD’s engineering expertise and trusted design principles, we have created a focused range of systems that are practical to deploy and straightforward to own. AQO makes proven subsea capability more accessible, while giving customers the reliability, efficiency and operational confidence they need to deliver.”
AQO’s proposition, ‘Subsea systems, streamlined’, is built around four core principles: standardised design, efficient deployment, proven performance and commercial accessibility. Its systems will use defined configurations to reduce integration complexity, streamline mobilisation and provide consistent operational performance.
