The company will make its first appearance in the UK
The NEC, Birmingham, will play host to this year’s , where Akona Process Solutions will make its first appearance in the UK since its rebranding. The company will showcase its equipment and advice on unique material requirements at the expo between the 7th and 9th of April.
Akona is the result of the merger of Advance Materials Processing (AMP) and Automated Handling Solutions (AHS), unifying the capabilities of Cablevey, Kason, Marion, and Spiroflow. The merger brought together over 200 years of experience in delivering high-performance processing and handling solutions.
Bespoke solutions for high-value materials across the food and beverage industry can be supplied by Akona, with engineering, sales, and aftersales support across the UK, Germany, and USA. The company is well positioned to meet demand in scalability, efficiency, and hygienic solutions.

The Cablevey tubular drag conveyor will be on display at FoodEx, part of Akona’s range of products. The conveyor can move material in a gentle and efficient manner, which will be demonstrated at the expo, and is important in food processing applications.
Akona’s sales team will be present at the expo to help discuss company integrated solutions across the four brands under Anoka’s remit. They will be able to explain how productivity and hygiene can be improved and waste can be reduced in food environments though using their technology.
