Ansys to showcase next-generation mobility technology at CES 2025

Ansys simulation solutions help 94 of the top 100 automotive suppliers by faster design generation

Ansys will showcase its solutions for accelerating digital engineering solutions in next-generation technology at CES 2025. Ansys aims to address industry problems by enabling faster innovation and improved productivity.

Safety, new features and functionality, and shortening design cycles are all focuses going into the new year.

Luciano Saracino, head of the Mechanics and Optics Center of Expertise, Marelli Electronic Systems, said: “Thanks to Ansys tools, we have realised a 25% reduction in product development cycle, 15% to 20% savings on engineering development costs, and the 15% to 20% improvement in product performance — to the satisfaction of our customers.”

Automotive companies are under demand for shorter cycles and more intricate designs. Ansys looks to address this without a reduction in accuracy. They aim to achieve this by increasing design exploration and optimisation opportunities. The ecosystem also allows workflows on cloud computing, AI-enhancement, and digital twins.

Both features include Ansys SimAI and the all-in-one Ansys ConceptEV design and simulation platform. These softwares allow for powertrain system development and enable cross-functional teams to meet consumer and market requirements.

Ansys Discovery 3D product simulation software along with the Nvidia Omniverse blueprint for real-time computer-aided engineering digital twins allow for visualisation of large-scale computational fluid workflows.

Software-defined vehicles (SDV) rely on many systems working together to create functionality for users, but can be complex for engineers. Ansys Perceive EM radio frequency channel and radar signature solution software allows for rapid communication of electromagnetics. Adding to this is the collaboration between Ansys, Cognata, and Microsoft enabling web-based platforms to test and validate sensor designs against certified sensor models.

Virtual prototyping and safety analysis speeds up processes and can increase safety. This includes crash safety, driving safety, and functional safety, all increasing the safety of the car occupant. Ansys technology can help customers meet regulatory compliance requirements through integrated workflows.

Continued collaboration with Sony Semiconductor Solutions increases time-to-compliance for ADAS/Avs due to having more streamlined, high-fidelity perception sensor validation workflow for improved safety. It also features crash safety analysis using Ansys LS-DYNA structural simulation software and virtual human body models.

It is also fitted with an advanced, integrated toolchain in collaboration with Kontrol, Microsoft, and TUV SUD to streamline safety, certification, and virtual homologation.
