Enabling users to see a real-time list of equipment in a vehicle compared to an established list
Brady’s automated vehicle inventory checks enable users to see a real-time list of the equipment present in a vehicle compared against an established equipment list. If an item is missing, select it on-screen, then use proximity-based sounds and visuals on a portable RFID reader to locate it
By labelling equipment with passive, battery-free UHF RFID labels, Brady enables an RFID reader to detect which tools and items are present. The RFID reader can compare detected tools against a list of expected items to confirm a complete vehicle inventory or highlight missing equipment.
This enables users to be fully equipped before leaving for a field intervention, avoid losing tools after interventions, and avoid wasting time doing a visual check to see where every piece of equipment is.
Tested at Brady’s in-house laboratories, each component has been created to withstand the conditions of field interventions, including exposure to UV, dust and moisture.
The components include:
- Industrial-grade on- and off-metal RFID labels and tags that stay attached and remain legible on equipment.
- Equipped with patented data-capture technology, Brady’s fixed RFID readers can collect data on items that are missing within their read range.
- With intuitive displays, Brady’s portable RFID readers and sleds deliver mobility, data collection, and interaction.
