High power capacity KBFRG4-5 released
Power solutions Danfoss has released the KBFRG4-5 to greaten the Vickers range of proportional valves. The new single-stage, four-way hydraulic valve has a round solenoid design and delivers high-power capacity and durability, designed for a range of industrial applications.
Wind turbines, machine tools, plastic moulding, metal forming, pulp and paper processing are all functions the new valve can be applied to. The KBFRG4-5 has a maximum pressure rating of 350bar and a maximum flow of 290 litres per minute at 57bar. The valve can deliver a step response of 20 milliseconds.
Dr. Peter Lauer, global product manager, industrial division, Danfoss Power Solutions said: “Vickers has long been the trusted name in industrial hydraulics, and Danfoss will continue to invest in the portfolio to meet the evolving needs of our customers. The KBFRG4-5 proportional valve is just one example. With its robust design, high performance, and advanced features, the valve is an ideal choice for a wide range of demanding applications.”
The valve is designed to withstand tough conditions as it has an IP67 ingress protection rating and a strong metal housing to protect the valve from vibration and shock, up to 7.8g random and 50g shock. CE, UKCA, REACH, RoHS, and EMI/EMC industry standard certifications are available for the high corrosion resistance case option.
Setup is simplified by the tools that come with the KBFRG4-5 to make installation easier, along with commissioning and troubleshooting. The valve has a CAN communication and configurable control modes. Danfoss’ pro-fx configuration software can program these control modes. A built-in health monitoring and LED indicator allows diagnostics to be easily communicated and test kits can be purchased for on-site commissioning.
The vales design is cost-effective due to its round solenoids and external linear variable differential transformer along with standard CETOP 5 body and spools. Multiple spool choices are available for various flow ratings.
