The motor series now has expanded certification for enhanced durability in explosive environments
Motion and control technologies company Parker Hannifin has improved and gained certification for its EY and EX servo motor series. The new certification reflects the increased durability and suitability of the motors for explosive environments.
Parker decided to obtain the CCC certification for its EY servo motor series due to its company-wide mission to continue to meet stringent government regulations as well as customer needs. This enables the motor to be compliant in the Chinese market.
Certification also brings confidence in the quality of Parkers products being high-quality solutions, especially in ATEX Zone 2 applications.
A new polyurethane paint for the EX servo motor series will be available for the new re-certified motors. The paint gives enhanced durability and resistance. This gives the motor high standards of safety and performance.
Compliance with CE, IECEx, KOSHA, and CCC certifications have already been met for the Chinese market. This makes it both a good and versatile choice for the ATEX Zone 1 applications.
The ATEX-certified motors provide high acceleration and deceleration capabilities as well as impressive torque output across a range of speeds. Companies operating in industries with strict safety regulations can benefit from Parker’s motors.
Industries such as oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, automotive (painting lines), biogas production, gas turbine manufacturing, printing, and distilleries are all suitable applications for the EY and EX series of motors.
