Inductive angle encoder has been developed for extreme-condition applications
High-precision encoder company Flux GmbH has developed and released its Ind-max inductive rotary angle encoder designed for extreme-condition applications.
The Ind-Max encoders have high-reliability inductive technology, true absolute position measurement, flat with a large through-hole, simple installation requiring no calibration, wide operating and mounting tolerances, and are immune to magnetic and electromagnetic disturbance.
Six size ranges varying from 125mm to 375mm outer diameter are available for the Ind-Max encoders with all six sizes offering 23 bits of resolution and a compact low profile form factor with a large bore.

IP67-rated housing versions have been approved to give reliable operation in high-shock and vibration environments.
Tutzu added: “We are excited to now make this offering available to a wider audience with thousands of options available as standard on short lead times.”
Land, air and sea extreme weather conditions are suitable environments for Ind-Max application due to its robust engineering.
Applications include underwater exploration, aerospace surveillance, satellite communication, spacecraft operations, naval systems, drone control, and aerial reconnaissance.
