Full colour 3D scanners from 3DeVOK 3D and New Gamma Series Arm available at Manchester Metrology
Manchester Metrology is now an official reseller for 3DeVOK in the UK, providing their full-colour 3D scanners, MT and MQ, whilst also stocking the new PMT Gamma Series Arm.
MT and MQ scanners both boast high quality at a competitive price. They use structured light technology and are designed to capture detailed 3D data efficiently. Target-free scanning allows for scanning in a variety of environments.
By having scanning flexibility, the MT and MQ and be used in a range of applications, such as reverse engineering, product design, and digital documentation. Both scanners are compact in size and feature quick setup, allowing them to integrate into existing operations.
Paul Bulman, director at Manchester Metrology, said: “The reaction to the MT and MQ scanners was remarkable. Visitors were genuinely impressed by the scan quality, high accuracy and ease of use – especially with features like full-colour capture, target-free setup and optional wireless operation, all at a highly competitive price point.”
The more accurate of the two is the MT Scanner, operating up to 0.04mm of accuracy, producing detail ideal for high-accuracy projects. It achieves its accuracy through 34 blue laser lines, 33 infrared laser lines, and large-area infrared speckle technology.
Bulham added: “Interest came from a wide range of people and organisations, from large businesses and start-ups to universities and individuals, and we received over 70 leads on the very first day. It really underlines the broad demand for accessible, high-quality 3D scanning solutions in the UK market.”
Alternatively, the MQ scanner provides accuracy up to 0.08mm and supports full-colour capture, using a 22-line infrared laser and infrared speckle light with a double field of view.
Wireless MT and MQ versions are available, allowing freedom of movement in environments.
The new Gamma Series Arm has come onto the market as well, with three configurations available: Gamma P (flagship), Gamma M (standard), and Gamma E (economic).
Across the range features a dual suspension support structure, allowing for stability and usability. An external decoupling and built-in balancing mechanism provides greater function, flexibility, reduced joint loads, and extended standby time.
Other features include: four-jaw quick-mount base collar, specialised 5G Wi-Fi module, smart sensing probe system, high-speed wired USB connection, and aerospace-grade carbon fibre.
Force-isolation, the mechanism separating the hand grip from the scanning head, decouples the holding pressure from the gravity of the scanning head. This technology allows for improved scanning accuracy and stability. This is best utilised in complex tasks.
PMT Gamma 8-Axis Rotary worktable is an optional add-on which connects to the Gamma 7-Axis arm, giving a fully enclosed, high-accuracy add-on axis. This helps save time and effort in hardware setup phases.
No software upgrades are required to use the 8-Axis, and it is fully transparent to the measurement software, meaning real-time rotation of the workpiece in relation to the measuring arm, cutting down the need to reposition either arm part.
