Particle and solids removal from industrial process water enhanced with skids

Sustainable technologies provider Metso has released its water treatment skids (WTS) for efficient and reliable water treatment in industrial settings. Applications include mining, metallurgical and chemical processing.

WTS are part of the wider Metso Plus package, using centrifugal separation and self-cleaning filtration to remove particles and solids. The package comes with automated controls and a compact modular design. The skids have plug-and-play installation with important connections.

Artem Makarov, product manager for industrial water treatment plants at Metso said: “The primary reason for developing Water Treatment Skids was to address the need for efficient water treatment solutions in industrial settings. WTS are primarily used to treat thickener overflow from solids and efficiently meet the clean water supply needs in thickening and dewatering areas, such as sealing water for pumps, chemical dilution and filter wash waters.”

User-friendly operation along with minimal maintenance downtime allows the WTS to meet key objectives important to customers. The system can provide improved and consistent water quality to increase process efficiency. This allows for scalability and flexibility.

Installation to other water process streams is also possible, allowing the WTS to be used for cleaning and other plant areas. This ensures a safe and beneficial water reuse.
