The SV1C Premium control station will be unveiled at MINExpo 2024
The SV1C Premium control station will be introduced to the North American market at MINExpo 2024 by Spohn and Burkhardt. The product is designed for mining and industrial applications giving enhanced ergonomics, reliability and customisation control.
The new system is an advancement of the original SV1C design and has been updated to meet the demands of modern mining equipment such as draglines. This system also has forward and inward-sloping operating surfaces.
Ample space is provided for the installation of control devices, with the new design allowing all devices to be arranged within the reach of an operator. This is to improve both safety and efficiency.
Adjustments to the control station can be made to allow for greater productivity and comfort for the operator, which allows for a greater balance between sitting and operating positions. Ensuring a fatigue-free work environment is important for maintaining productivity over long shifts and reducing mistakes.
All body sizes are accounted for with the high-quality comfort seats which are adjustable in multiple dimensions, as well as lumbar support.
Requirements of specific machinery and the preference of the operator are taken into account with the control system, which is why the model is fully customisable to any requirements. Different seat models, suspension types, system rotation, footrests, joysticks, control devices, and monitors can all be fitted to fit preferences best.
Further developments of the SV1C are underway, with Spohn and Burkhardt currently developing an advanced system that includes integration of a phone app and motorised adjustability, set for release in 2025.
The SV1C premium control station will be in action and displayed at the MINExpo 2024, in booth #2175 in North Hall. Visitors will be able to learn more about the device there.
