Rapid prototyping platform Proto-Electronics has obtained EN9100 certification, the international benchmark for quality management in the aerospace, space and defence sectors.
The achievement enables the company to support electronic projects within these highly-regulated industries through its digital platform, short lead times and high responsiveness.
Proto-Electronics’ digital platform facilitates instant quotes, configuration of requirements and direct online ordering of electronic boards, from prototype to pre-series.
Despite the ever tightening regulatory and quality requirements for developing electronic equipment, shorter design cycles are increasingly in demand. In high-pressure sectors such as aerospace and defence, engineers are continually looking to accelerate development timelines and streamline test cycle times.
With the EN9100 certification, Proto-Electronics can support design offices, equipment manufacturers and industry players in reducing development lead times while guaranteeing a high level of process control. The certification is the result of months of work and investment by the company’s various teams to meet the demanding quality, traceability and process control requirements of these sectors.
“Our platform has always aimed to simplify and speed up electronic prototyping,” said Yann Turcant, CEO of Proto-Electronics. “With EN9100, we are going further, enabling companies operating in the most demanding sectors to benefit from this agility within an environment that meets the quality standards of the aerospace, defence and space sectors.
“This certification is a continuation of our quality approach, already recognised by ISO 9001, and reflects our commitment to supporting our customers on increasingly complex projects.”
The certification also provides Proto-electronics’ customers with an additional guarantee in the management of their electronics projects.
