Tektronic announces TekHSI as an answer to extremely fast data transfer problems

TekHSI will offer remote call-based solution for data transfer, this is part of its new firmware capabilities on the Tektronix MSO 4B, 5 and 6 Series models

Tektronix is announcing its new TekHSI, which now offers significantly faster data transfer time for testing purposes, allowing users to transfer data from instruments and machinery to their PC much quicker.

Tektronix MSO 4B, 5 and 6 Series models offer new firmware to transfer high data transfer speeds with easy-to-use implementations and scaling abilities. Customers can achieve the highest performance output from the device's physical link to transfer data at its highest speeds. Ethernet cable is a good example of this type of link.

Gaurav Marmat, Tektronix Product Manager said: ““Before the launch of TekHSI, our customers had to depend on SCPI curve and curvestream commands for data transfer, and those methods resulted in workflow bottlenecks for test and measurement engineers working with large record length and sample rate waveform files”

Marmat added: ““TekHSI is based on Google’s modern remote procedure call architecture and is very intuitive to adopt and scale across test automation needs for faster, more efficient data transfer results. It’s an alternative to those complex and slow data transfer options.”

TekHSI is easier for users to set up, use and scale whilst achieving high levels of performance. It is difficult for engineers to maximise the bandwidth of devices with the physical link they are shipped with, which typically supplies 1Gbps. This is where TekHSI is superior to other products. The other options on the market require meticulous code optimisation, relying on curve and curvestream demands, this problem has been removed with the TekHSI.
