This desktop system delivers higher resolution than traditional 2PP 3D printers
3D printing specialist UpNano has launched the NanoOne green, a desktop multiphoton laser lithography system offering layer-by-layer two-photon polymerisation.
The newest addition to the Austrian company’s NanoOne series, the NanoOne green combines the NanoOne 1000 and the NanoOne 250 models to deliver enhanced transparent material versatility and high resolution.
"With the NanoOne green, we have extended our NanoOne product line with a tool that delivers ultra-high resolution features and paves the way for diverse industrial applications," said UpNano CEO Bernhard Küenburg.
The 515nm green laser wavelength allows for the creation of more complex 3D structures, delivering 30% higher resolution than traditional 2PP 3D printers, which operate at 780nm. This enables the NanoOne green to achieve detail elements below 100nm in width.
The green laser also broadens material compatibility and accommodates the use of transparent, biocompatible and non-fluorescent materials typically preferred in optics and microfluidics.
UpNano’s adaptive resolution technology, which is present in all NanoOne printers, shrinks and expands the width of the laser beam to suit different needs and accelerate the printing process. This provides the precision necessary in microfabrication, prototyping and scale-up.
The desktop system includes high-performance vibration isolation, a built-in cleanroom with a HEPA filter and compatibility with all NanoOne accessories, such as fiber holders, wafer chucks and heatable vat.
UpNano will be at FormNext in Frankfurt on 19th November to showcase its technology.
