The solution uses AI-generated machining strategies to speed up the manufacturing process
Technology manufacturer CloudNC’s AI-led CAM Assist plug-in is now available for Siemens’ NX CAM users as an AI-enabled add-on.
Cam Assist uses AI to generate machining strategies for 3 axis and 3+2 axis CNC machines. Users can programme tool paths and machine parts efficiently, using computer science techniques and AI to generate intuitive machining strategies within minutes or even seconds. A manual version of this process could take a CNC programmer hours or even days to complete.

Saving time has a notable impact on the efficiency of the manufacturing process. Specific components take less time to make, since users potentially shave days off the programming procedures, for example. It also takes less time to estimate how much that new component will cost. This streamlines the overall operation and allows for more work to be completed in the same amount of time.
