Evolution Measurement, the UK and Northern Europe sales channel partner for Scanivalve, has launched the Scanivalve MPS4264 Gen2, the latest generation of the intelligent miniature Ethernet pressure scanner. A decade after the original compact, self-contained MPS was released with a built-in web server
When introduced in 2015, the MPS was the world’s first miniature pressure scanner to operate independently of external data-acquisition hardware, providing plug-and-play Ethernet connectivity and immediate access to thermally corrected, calibrated engineering-unit data.
Developed utilising insights from customer feedback and field performance, the MPS4264 Gen2 incorporates the same architecture as the MPS4216 and MPS4232 models.
The new design provides fully synchronous scanning, achieved through one analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) per sensor, eliminating inter-channel latency. Sampling rates have also increased to capture dynamic measurements more quickly and with greater precision.
The onboard web server has been refined for ease of use, allowing a quicker setup and real-time data access from standard web browsers. Additionally, Scanivalve has introduced a new published accuracy specification, “Typical Measurement Error.” This metric is derived from a decade of calibration data across thousands of MPS units, providing a representation of real-world performance, strengthening the system’s accuracy.
The entire MPS range, MPS4216, MPS4232, and MPS4264 Gen2, now operate on a unified hardware and firmware platform. This alignment ensures consistent performance, simplified updates, and streamlined support across all models, with the MPS4216 and MPS4232 also seeing enhancements to accuracy and usability as part of the update.
