Orica Digital Solutions has launched the next generation of FRAGTrack, an automated rock fragmentation measurement system.

By expanding access to fragmentation intelligence closer to the point of decision-making, FRAGTrack enables mining operations to improve productivity, enhance predictability and unlock greater value across the mining value chain,” said Orica president and CTO Angus Melbourne.
The release features a new hardware platform, giving mining operations greater visibility into fragmentation performance. The platform allows for FRAGTrack deployment on excavators, and enabling greater flexibility in how operators capture and use fragmentation data.
The new solution also features a range of enhancements designed to improve performance, usability and deployment flexibility. Orica incorporated edge and IoT upgrades into the latest generation of FRAGTrack. It also offers higher-resolution optics, improved performance in variable lighting conditions, a more compact design, enhanced cybersecurity and simplified installation.
FRAGTrack can also now extend measurement to excavators, bringing fragmentation intelligence to a critical stage of the materials handling process. The new FRAGTrack excavator configuration is now available to mining customers globally.
