Enhanced features introduced to improve performance across range
Construction and mining equipment manufacturer Komatsu has unveiled its upgraded line of mini excavators with enhanced performance-based features. New features have been added for increased safety, operator comfort, and versatility.
Komatsu looks to build on its existing reputation for reliability and performance. The company has created its new line with its core values in mind, helping the company achieve its current status.
Emanuele Viel, group manager for compact line, said: “We’re excited to introduce the updated generation of our mini excavators. We listened to our customers and focused on enhancing the features that matter such as safety, durability and ease of use. This new range delivers on all fronts, providing operators with the tools they need to tackle any job with confidence.”
A rear view camera has been added, with a standard from PC24MR-5 and up. This produces a clear image with high resolution and wide viewing angle to provide good rear visibility. A dedicated monitor has been installed to provide a wide unobstructed view of behind the vehicle. This sits separate from the main vehicle screen. This helps improve robustness and safety in all conditions.
The seat is air-suspended on a PC33MR-5 standard and up, providing an improved air suspension system which absorbs shock and vibrations. This reduced fatigue suffered by operators during long shifts. Construction can take place over longer hours even in demanding job sites with these improvements.
LED lights have been installed to the entire mini HE range, providing a powerful, energy-efficient, bright, uniform illumination to improve visibility in harsh and low-light conditions. Eye strain and safety are improved by lens design which minimises glare and light scatter.
New options have been added for the range, with protection grids and access features making user comfort a priority. This creates a more comfortable, safe, productive, and user-friendly excavator.
