Electrical inspection environments more efficient with pocket-sized iSee camera

Electrical testing and measuring company Fluke has launched its iSee mobile thermal camera. It is a pocket sized portable thermal camera for increasing safety and efficiency, able to deliver resolution levels close to professional cameras, including full temperature range analysis.

The hardware is inserted into a smartphone, the iSee detects heat output, allowing users to identify heat anomalies. This is useful for tasks that require accurate thermal imaging from a safe distance or on the go.

Hector Martinez, product manager, thermal imaging, Fluke said: “We designed the iSee Camera to bring safety and convenience to thermal inspections without compromising the power and precision professionals need to do their jobs. The new resolution in iSee allows users to check panels and other connections for abnormal heating from a safe distance without putting themselves at risk. This will be the camera of choice for thermographers who need portability but demand safety and high-quality images.”

Weighing just under 28g, the iSee camera takes a second to turn on and is designed for electricians, HVAC technicians, contractors, and other professionals. Reolution of 256 x 192pixels can be captured with a temperature range of -10 to 550 °C, with an accuracy of 2%. It is suitable for many applications due to its 25Hz frame rate.

The camera includes; powerful temperature range analysis, real-time image sharing for fast and easy communication, small and durable, portability and compatibility with smartphones.
