Attendees got a hands-on understanding of how the monitoring technology works
Real-time pipeline monitoring technology Process Vision showcased its technology at International Energy Week 2025 in Sarawak, Malaysia. Along side Alkene’s exhibit, Process Vision showcased its latest LineVu system and its portable Discovery unit.
Operational integrity was a key factor when designing the two new technologies, which provide a critical insight into gas pipeline contamination whilst enhancing operations.
Alkene provides quality products and services for the oil and gas industry, aiming to deliver fast at competitive prices. They shared their stage with Process Vision to provide live demonstrations, with experts on hand to explain further questions attendees had.
LineVu aims to bridge the gap between theory and reality in gas quality, using real-time image-based monitoring to achieve this.
Dr. David Fairclough, director of global sales, provided attendees with answers to their specific questions that can not be addressed by an exhibit for mass consumption, such as how their technologies can benefit specific examples and situations.
Dr. Fairclough said: “LineVu is transforming how our customers manage gas quality. Seeing liquid in real time empowers engineers to move from reactive to predictive maintenance, reducing unplanned outages and saving millions annually.”
Sarawak, Malaysia, hosted this year's International Energy Week 2025, with a focus on the transition to clean energy. Borneo provided a backdrop for the region's commitment to environmental stewardship and innovation, as organised by the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability (MEESty).
Process Vision is based in Basingstoke, UK, and partners with engineers and managers in the energy industry to provide reliable and efficient innovative image-processing technology. Systems are capable of detecting liquids, hydrate, was, and solid contamination in natural gas pipelines and provides expert guidance on how to remove the anomalies.
