This capability provides engineers with a continuous view of vehicle performance, enabling predictive maintenance, uptime optimisation, and data-driven validation across the entire EV lifecycle, from prototype testing to fleet deployment.

“DRIVE35 is a chance to scale zero-emission capability at pace,” says Umesh Patel, business director at ODOS. “Our job is to make data effortless – from rugged loggers at the edge to secure cloud insight for engineers and operators – so programmes move faster with less risk.”

ODOS is currently assessing UK-based assembly and testing facilities for its logger family, aiming to strengthen domestic supply chains and create high-value technical roles. By collaborating with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, the company is embedding production-grade diagnostics and remote analytics into next-generation vehicle architectures, including electric and software-defined platforms.

Early pilot manufacturing and feasibility work is underway to scale these solutions for industrial deployment. In ongoing trials, ODOS systems have demonstrated real-time monitoring, over-the-air configurability, and resilient edge logging, leading to shorter validation cycles and reduced programme risk.

ALIGNING WITH CAM

ODOS’s technology also supports the Connected and Automated Mobility (CAM) Pathfinder programme – another UK Government initiative, valued at £150 million, to advance connected and autonomous vehicle systems.

As CAM trials evolve from concept to commercial readiness, the need for high-integrity, low-latency data systems becomes paramount. ODOS’s CAN-to-Cloud platform delivers precisely that: secure data capture, cloud integration with cybersecurity built in, and continuous operational intelligence. These features are enabling CAM projects such as autonomous HGV trials, airport transport pilots, and feasibility studies in freight and public transit to operate safely, monitor performance in real time, and scale with confidence.

POWER SYSTEM VALIDATION

ODOS technology is already demonstrating its robustness in demanding test environments. In collaboration with TAE Power Solutions, the company equipped pulse-charging rigs with its telemetry and dashboard systems. Engineers gained round-the-clock visibility into powertrain behaviour, supported by anomaly detection, remote configuration, and zero-loss data logging. This lead to shorter test cycles, faster iteration, and improved data integrity, critical factors for power system validation and product scaling.

As DRIVE35 and CAM Pathfinder progress, collaboration between data-infrastructure providers like ODOS and UK-based OEMs will be vital. Building the digital backbone for zero-emission mobility requires not only clean propulsion technologies but also the intelligent data systems to monitor, validate, and optimise them.
