TKD Kabel’s range of cable solutions includes its ReelTec and FestoonTec product series
TKD Kabel, with its ReelTec and FestoonTec product series, offers a portfolio of robust cable solutions to ensure a reliable power and signal supply for cranes and lifting technology, also supporting the growing digitalisation and automation of port facilities
Docking times are costly, making the ability to quickly unload ship cargoes a significant competitive factor for ports. Many ports today are fully automated and require reliable cabling to enable the high loading and unloading speeds required for short turnaround times.
TKD Kabel supplies a range of cables for cranes and lifting equipment that require high functionality under challenging operating conditions, with the ReelTec and FestoonTec product series for the most critical applications.
ReelTec
The ReelTec series includes shielded and unshielded cables that are reelable, durable, and lightweight, making them ideal for use in industrial crane and port crane systems.
One product in the series, the Reeltec-PUR-HF, is a heavy-duty 0.6//1kV cable with a PUR sheath resistant to abrasion and oil and is halogen-free. Designed to be used indoors and outdoors as well as in wet conditions, and can be used in temperatures between -50 °C and +90 °C.
FestoonTec
In drag festoon applications, cables must be flexible as they hang in loops on cable carriers, which move them horizontally along a rail in line with the crane's movements.
The FestoonTec series offers both shielded and unshielded power and control cables, specifically designed for this application. One product, the FestoonTec H07VVH6 flat cable with black PVC sheathing, allows for a small bending radius and a suspension height of up to 35m, and can be used in dry, damp, and wet environments, as well as at temperatures ranging from -35 °C to +60 °C.
