Akona Process Solutions will go to market as new trading name for the merger
Material processing and handling solutions providers Advance Material Processing (AMP) and Automated Handling Solutions (AHS) have merged, forming a new brand Akona Process Solutions, or Akona. The company is part of Chicago-base May River Capital.
Akona brings together technologies and the global reach of AMP and AHS to provide a full portfolio of processing and handling solutions for high-value materials in the pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, chemical, food, and drink industries.
Brands such as Cablevery, Kason, Marion, and Spiroflow brands will continue to operate, bringing their combined 200 years of experience to the merger. Akona will be based out of its headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, and will offer its engineering, sales, and service centres across the USA and Europe.
