Metso has launched three digital solutions to help miners optimise production, improve operational outcomes and enhance safety.
The three solutions are Metso Digital Production Management, Metso Data-driven Performance Analytics and Metso Safety Performance Platform.

The digital solutions leverage AI and advanced analytics to help customers optimise production decisions with intelligence recommendations, uncover improvement opportunities hidden in operational data and transform safety observations into action.
Metso Digital Production Management
Metso Digital Production Management helps operations respond faster to changing ore characteristics, process conditions and operational constraints. The solution generates accurate production plans based on site-specific targets and constraints. This reduces the need for hours of scenario simulations to identify optimal operating settings.
By combining planning data, operational information and simulation models, the solution automatically evaluates alternative production scenarios. Based on these observations it recommends optimised actions that support objectives such as higher throughput, improved recovery, increased reliability and balanced production and maintenance points.
Metso Data-driven Performance Analytics
Metso Data-driven Performance Analytics is a continuous service that evaluates how equipment is used in operation and how effectively they perform as part of a specific process.
The service provides daily asset and process performance monitoring, identifies performance gaps and bottlenecks and prioritises and communicates continuous improvement actions for sustained operational results. This supports higher throughput, improved recovery and a more consistent operational performance. The service is provided by Metso Performance Centres, which also deliver data-driven condition monitoring services for Metso customers.
Metso Safety Performance Platform
Metso Safety Performance Platform helps organisations strengthen workplace safety by making it easier for employees and contractors to report risks, incidents, near misses and best practices from any device.
AI-assisted reporting drives great workforce engagement, improves data quality and consistency and helps organisations identify risks earlier. Real-time dashboards, trend analysis, easy risk hotspot identification on a map and AI-powered recommendations can help to support incident prevention and continuous improvement.
The launch of the three digital solutions comes just days following the company’s delivery of process equipment to Viscaria copper mine in Kiruna, Sweden.
