The launch is the latest evolution of RS’s PCB design software
RS, a global product and service solutions provider for industrial customers, has launched DesignSpark PCB version 13, the latest evolution of its PCB design software, sponsored by Würth Elektronik, a manufacturer of electronic and electromechanical components
Established in 2010, DesignSpark PCB has been motivated by a desire to provide accessible, professional-grade design tools for engineers globally and in all industries. Its interface and features have helped it become a trusted solution for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), by streamlining workflows, improving design precision, and unlocking new potential in their PCB development processes.
The software can simplify board design and includes, along with its main features, a library of millions of PCB symbols and footprints and support for unlimited board layers. DesignSpark PCB version 13 features:
- Enhanced rendering and visual clarity
- Set symbol origin at centre of pads
- Serpentine routing
- Archimedean spiral generator, updated to use the Archimedean equation
- Interactive BOM export
