The DuraDock power PE joins the line up
Connection technology provider Staubli has added to its DuraDock portfolio with its latest announcement of the DuraDock power PE, joining the existing lineup. This adds to the company's range of high-performance connectors amid the growing demand placed on the market due to the raise of automation technology.
The new addition to the lineup, the Dura Dock power PE, provides reliable protection against electrical faults in high current applications. This is possible due to the use of its First Mate Last Break (FMLB) socket contact technology.
Two variants of the connector are available, one as an Ø16mm derivative and another as a Ø28mm derivative of the power connectors. The PE connectors are externally marked with several earth symbols on both the plastic and metal parts.
It features a first mate and last break design with pre-assembled contact. Both a straight and 90-degree angled cable outlet are available for ease of use. On the insulated versions, classification of IP2X and IP54 is certified to ensure safety and protection.
The conductor cross-sections range between 35mm², 2 AWG, to 120mm², or 450MCM. The new single-pole connectors of the new DuraDock series aim to provide improved safety in power transmission and have been designed for testing applications requiring maximum durability and reliability.
Extreme conditions of up to 100,000 mating cycles can be met due to the latest technology implemented. Staubli claims the safe power transmission is safe for uses at the highest power and current levels.
